The Center for Small Entrepreneur’s 3rd Negosyong Pinoy was successfully held last 29 – 31 January, 2010 at the SM Mega Trade Hall 2 with its Opening Ceremonies graced and led by Manila City Mayor’s Office Chief of Staff Mr. Ric de Guzman, CSE’s Belgian Partner NGO – Trias’ Learning and Exchange Officer,  Mr. Jozef Serneels, CSE Board of Trustees led by Mr. Jose Diokno, Vice Chairman Mr. Leo Renier and Treasurer Ms. Melba Matula, CSE’s new Executive Director Ms. Jennifer Reyes, Ka-entrep Organization President Mr. Manny Talastasin and Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) BSMED OIC for Management Services Division Ms. Ma. Victoria Magkalas who also gave the first talk on “DTI’s Programs and Services for Micro and Small Entrepreneurs.”

With its theme “Entreps Exposed: Finding the Real Filipino Entrepreneur,” the event has brought together a good mix of exhibitors comprised of graduating Entrepreneurship students of University of the East and Colegio de San Juan de Letran and entrepreneurs from the different parts of Luzon particularly from the Cities of Cabanatuan, Antipolo and Cavite which only goes to show that Filipinos are naturally entrepreneurial and that there is much opportunities in entrepreneurship that anyone can bank on regardless of age, status or background.

Attended by over 4,000 walk-in participants, the 3-day Fair did not only featured products of participating entrepreneurs but also provided a venue for walk-in participants to learn more about the concept and emerging trends and practices in the field of entrepreneurship.  No less than Dr. Cecilio Pedro of Lamoiyan Corporation, makers of Hapee Toothpaste, spoke on the inspiring topic: “World Class Filipino Entrepreneurs” which had an “SRO” reception from the audience.

The fair did not only exposed Filipino products but paved the way to launching new Filipino-made products such as Xytrix’ “XPAD” which is an extremely affordable Filipino assembled notebook that makes technology within reach of common Pinoys.

The 3rd Negosyong Pinoy has concluded but the prospects and new connections established in the past three days will continue to enliven the Filipino entrepreneurs’ market for the year 2010 onwards.

In behalf of the Center for Small Entrepreneurs (CSE), thank you to all the booth exhibitors who have featured their respective products, to our generous sponsors who have put their trust on us and supported this noble project and to all of you who have one way or another been part of the  3-day Trade Fair.  We look forward to working with you again and seeing all of you in the 4th Negosyong Pinoy in November 2010!
